Hey all - just about to pull the trigger and buy a 816x. I would like to use the unit as a sort-of patchbay and keep different preamps plugged into its inputs and outputs. Once you plug into one of the inputs on the front panel, can you assign which out put it goes to, so I can place the signal into whichever outboard preamp I want to use?
