Audio Driver could not be loaded

Hi Good Folks,
Now suddenly Cubase won’t accept my Macbook Air’s M4, Sequoia 15.6.1, audio driver.

I don’t know what I did wrong, but this is the message I get.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Did you already try restarting your computer?

Yes, I have restarted several times.
I have also reinstalled Cubase…
Everything else works with the audio driver; both Google (podcasts, movies etc), RX and SpectraLayers 12 works.
So I think there is something with the connection to Cubase…

Please check the macOS security permissions if Cubase is still allowed to access the hardware.

Do you mean this?

Probably. Neither am I a Mac specialist nor a specialist in your language.

You will probably need to start in safe-mode, and lower security. Then you can install the drivers and allow permissions as normal.

Edit. Ignore this. I didn’t pick up that you were using Apple Audio.

The OP is using the MBA M4’s build-in audio, which does not use 3rd-party kext extensions. I only mention this so that they don’t waste time unnecessarily changing the Security Policy.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn’t mean to be curt - I was doing something else and was trying to save the OP some trouble. Just making sure that didn’t come across as snarky

More vendors should follow RME’s lead and have Driverkit-based drivers in production and fully supported. Not to name names, but some companies that rhyme with YOUAYEDEE still force outdated, legacy kext extensions requiring the settings you identified.

That’s a tough one - I could really use another hint…

Eminem could come up with a rhyme that sits with “Behringer” - easy.

My preamp from Behringer.

For sure it was a real Minger.

Decided to give it the Finger.

Then went and had a KFC Zinger.

(Or is that Burger King. I can’t remember)

Thanks for the poems guys ¯\(°_o)/¯
