Just bought a new MacBook Pro 14¨M3 chip Mac OS 14.2.1 and am running Cubase Pro 11.0.4.1… ,Got cubase installed and workin fine but when trying to export a mix I keep getting an audio drop out (silence) almost at the end of the song… Always happens in the same spot, mesure 109. No drop out at all while listening to the song in production. If I mix down as an MP3 there are no drop outs and sounds fine. It´s when I mix down as a WAVE file. Also if I send the mix to a folder it doesn’t play at all. I have to select create an audio file after export . Never had to do that before, I always used to creat a folder for my mixes and exported directly to the folder… Bug maybe ??
I also have the exact issue when mixing the audio into wave files.
A second of silence near the end usually and if I try again, that spot appears in the same place. I tried using different methods to solve this issue but it appears in almost all project when mixing down into wave files.
My Macbook Pro is M2 Max 64GB Ram and it happens when using only one vst too so I have no idea what is causing this. Mac OS, Cubase 13, and the vst plugins are up to date. Hope someone has an answer.
I am having the same issue of random short silences appearing, when I export wave files. In different places, for different tracks of the same project. I am using a Cubase 13 on Mac Mini M2.
ok I think I solved the issue finally after searching for the solution for the past 1 month.
Instead of choosing my external ssd (connected via usb c to my Macbook Pro) as the wave file mixdown save location, I chose my Macbook’s local/internal ssd instead.
I read a random comment saying this solved the issue for the person, so I tried and magically this solved the silence bug on my side. The funny thing is, this was the first thing I thought of doing when I encountered this issue, but did not try thinking my ssd and macbook are both fast and powerful enough to have such an issue (hope it’s something that can be fixed by either Cubase / Mac OS). I probably have spent more than 24hrs researching online and reinstalling stuff
I still have no idea what is causing this annoying issue, but I hope it’s a bug that can be fixed in the future.
It worked!! thanks
Thanks for all the information.
Even if it works its not good option for me, since I do own a 512 HD-Macbook.
Looking forward to have solved this issue soon.
