I’m getting audio dropouts that I can’t sort out the reason for . Internet and wifi off , high performance power setting on pc . PC is a Dell Vostro 3910 , 64gb ram , i7 processors , Intel Gpu . I cannot find the reason for this , had several remote sessions with Steinberg with no solution . Finally shut Internet and WiFi off one day and seemed to solve it , but it’s back . I’ve tried all the usual suspects , buffer , high asio guard etc . Using Steinberg MKII Interface . Are there Any settings that usually aren’t associated with dropouts , but can cause them that anyone can suggest ? Steinberg doesn’t support 13 anymore . I have basically given up on Cubase , can’t get it solved on my own , and not by any stretch a computer pro , but can change settings . The pc is strictly for Cubase , so anything that can be uninstalled , disabled that isn’t necessary for Cubase , all suggestions are welcome . I do believe this is a pc issue , as other DAWs I’ve tried do the same . And how to would be appreciated .

(Q) Are there any unusual BIOS settings configurations that we should be aware of (eg. overclocking hardware components etc.)
NVIDIA GPU’s should be using the “Studio Driver” and NOT the “Game Ready Driver”.
If still experiencing issues, download and run the application called “LatencyMon” to see if this reveals any information on other possible culprits.
If still experiencing issues, try and find another audio interface to test with it’s different ASIO driver.
You can also test bypassing external audio interfaces, and test using the onboard audio on the motherboard, this will require to download and install the free ASIO4ALL driver:
If all else fails, than you will have to use Microsoft WDK to record / create Windows trace files and submit them to someone who is competent at diagnosing them to try and figure out which part of your computer configuration is causing the issues.
If you want to get more experimental you can try out some applications such as “Bitsum - Process Lasso” or “Bitsum - ParkControl”.
