I am doing a piano piece, using SonicCouture Hammersmith Piano. The score has lots of dynamics, but the playback ignores them all, as does the audio export. I have triued setting the expression map to CC11 dynamics, and Default, and neither has any effect.
What could I be doing wrong? I’m not sure what other information I need to give to diagnose this.

The manual says 21 velocity layers and
The Hammersmith will respond to MIDI notes from 21 (A-1) to 108 (C7), and to Continuous Controllers 64 (sustain), 66 (sostenuto), and 67 (soft pedal)
Logically, it should be velocity that controls dynamics. If you assign the Default expression map, what does the Velocity lane in play mode look like during dynamic changes (screenshot should suffice)?
Velocity appears to be correct.
So this little smarty-pants me (:-)) is running not one but two compressors, which I failed to realise as one is in the channel strip. So I now suspect that the lower volume sounds are being pulled up and the louder sounds are being pulled down into a bland pop-music dull conformity. I shall investigate.
