Audio engine problem

Hello, I am using Drioku 5 and recently I cannot enter the program. It gives an error that it cannot find the audio engine?! I do everything, including reinstalling the program or . . It can’t be fixed and I’m really tired?! What should I do?!

Thank you for your follow up

Hi @meghdad_shahhosseini , no worries, I will sooner or later get you up and running.
First of all, what are you choosing when that dialog pops up, which button do you click? Try with the Continue to Wait, until even Dorico times out and quits itself.
Also, start the ActivityMonitor app (to be found under /Applications/Utilities). Sort the process list on the left side in alphabetical order and have a look for processes who’s name starts with vst. There should be at least the VST Audio Engine, but also a vstcannermaster and vstscanner. Have also a look at the process ID (PID) of the vstscanner process, does it change every few seconds. If not, then that vstscanner is blocking everything, try to kill that process. Does it then continue?
Next scenario, there is no vstscanner but a vstscannermaster. In that case try to kill that vstscannermaster process. Does Dorico then start up?
Btw, you can kill a process in the Activity Monitor by highlighting a process and then clicking the round icon with an X inside (located at the top of the Acitivty Monitor window).
All this as a first step, let’s see how it goes, but I have more up my sleeve.
