Not sure why this has been an ongoing problem for a quite some time so I figured I’d consult the forum. Pretty much every time I start up Dorico I get a 20 second wait before the audio engine basically forces me to terminate the application. I noticed a larger thread discussing this issue but none of the examples matched my situation. Probably an easy fix but would appreciate the insight.

I just don’t get how we’re not up to Version 10 or 12 by now! Development here seems all but abandoned and that is truly tragic. It’s such a great “idea” of a program and COULD/SHOULD be fully developed!
Source Elements is already streaming ATMOS and we’re still on the launch pad with unstable stereo! We should totally be at the front of this race! Yet the only Pro/Commercial Facilities that I know of who are familiar with VST Connect are the ones I’ve approached to set up sessions. It’s an easy pitch, since it doesn’t cost them a cent to try it. But the instability issues make it hard to promote. But they all know and in many cases, use Source Elements!
We SHOULD be at least considered.
