Hey Guys (and ladies)
Not sure if this is a WL question or maybe I should try the UR forums? But, I’ve always been helped here so, thought I’d try here first.
So, New PC.
Windows 11 Pro. Wavelab 12. Nuendo 13.
Intel® Core™ i9 14900KF (68 MB cache, 24 cores, up to 6.0 GHz P-Core Thermal Velocity)
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090, 24 GB GDDR6X
64 GB: 2 x 32 GB, DDR5, 5200 MT/s
2X2 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD
1000W Platinum Rated PSU, 240mm Liquid-Cooled CPU.
WL runs great for anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, If I bounce tracks or Normalize (or just out of the blue) when it comes out I get a garble in my audio? If I then go to the audio card and reset it, it works fine again for another short period.
I’ve tried everything (I think) I’ve turned off all other audio cards, got the latest Steinberg drivers, Reloaded the drivers many times, tried old drivers, turned of all safety features (not online) Switched usb ports, found a place online to “Optimize your PC for audio”…etc.
I’ve been at it for 5 days now… I can sure use some help from some of you smarties out there
Thank you all!! I couldn’t do any of this without you and this forum!!
Eddie
I don’t understand? You think maybe it’s the Nvidia video card? I disabled the audio portion of the card…. The GPU can affect the Steinberg audio card? I had a super old Nvidia card in my last PC… don’t think it had a GPU though?
Possibly an issue with the USB interface. Try operating the audio interface on different USB ports. Also, switching the Win power scheme to High Performance could also solve the problem.
Possible! I just got done working. Now, I’m going to switch interfaces. Lexicon Alpha on my New PC and return the UR242 to my older PC (Now my_internet PC)
If it works on my older PC And the Lexicon works on my new PC, I’ll know there’s a conflict with the UR242 driver and my New rig…
Stand by…
and, Thank you!!
