Using LE 10.5 and when importing WAV audio files the playback and recording are slower and down in pitch. Looked through all settings and tried it after a restart and still the same. Although I’ve used Cubase since V5 I am limited to knowledge so can anyone suggest a fix please? Thanks.

Most probably your Project’s Sample Rate doesn’t match your Audio Device’s Sample Rate.
Btw, I would recommend you to the latest Cubase LE 14. The update is for free and you can ask for the update here.
