Hi everybody,
up to now I used a Behringer U-Phoria UMC 22 for playback and everything was fine.
Now I need a bigger Interface and bought a Behringer U-Phoria UMC 404 HD.
As soon as I plug this interface to a USB port, playb ack in Dorico doesn’t work. I even can’t change the instruments - in my case Note Performer to HSSO.
In order to get Playback again, I have to unplug UMC 404 and restart the PC.
What is wrong?

You have definitely chosen the appropriate audio interface in Dorico’s Edit > Device Setup dialog? Could you please do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the resulting zip file here?
Hi @Piano_Vink , as Daniel said, a diagnostics report is definitely wanted in your case.
But also some clarification:
You say, you have to unplug and restart the PC to get playback again, but from which device does then the sound come from, from the internal speakers?
What if you plug in the UMC404 before starting Dorico, does then sound come through from other audio applications or YouTube/browser? If so and you then start Dorico, what does happen (or not happen?) What if you go to Edit > Device Setup and try to switch devices?

nach Kontrolle ist mit dem UMC 404 überhaupt keine Wiedergabe mehr möglich - ich habe es mit YouTube probiert. Es ist dann wohl kein Dorico-Problem.
Aber trotzdem noch eine Frage: ich kann in den Geräte-Einstellungen nur den Audio-Treiber einstellen, oder? Dieser steht auf FLEX-ASIO…

schicke am besten doch nochmals einen diagnostics report, waehrend das UMC angeschlossen ist.
Und hat das UMC keinen eigenen ASIO-Treiber?

Das Problem ist gelöst. Ich brauche das 404 lediglich für die Eingabe, die Ausgabe erfolgt über das UMC22.
Es hängen also beide Geräte am PC. In diesem Fall erkennt Windows das 404 aber als Lautsprecher…
Daher konnte kein Sound kommen, da das 404 nicht mit den Speakern verbunden war.

Eventuell ein Treiber Problem? Gibt es leider oft bei Behringer Interfaces. Gruss - Henning
