Audio Preview in new mediabay tab not playing

Hi!

I just bought cubase 8 and so far so good, EXCEPT for the mediabay preview not playing when browsing samples. What am I doing wrong? it shows the waveform and all, but it doesn’t play the freaking sound previewer. I’ve tried all modes too.

Are you using Control Room? You may have the preview signal routing through to one of your headphone outputs.

I haven’t changed anything at all, bought cubase 8 yesterday and installed it. I will check it out but I doubt its something like that.

edit: yes indeed it seems like the preview goes through the control room. How do I change that? I have no experience at all with the control room

F4 … control room tab … click the blue button
