Do you still have a project that does not load well in 2.0.23? If so, would you mind to send it to us, just the .vlprj file?
There are no VCA Groups in VST Live, but you can use the Song Group like any other Group. It is local to the Song, obviously. To attenuate all channels of a specific Song, route everything to that Channel (or, a Song Group).
