Audio to midi / Change Note via Midi Input

hi,
i’ve put a small sample of a bass sound and i now want to convert it into a midi so that i can change the pitch via midi however unsure how to exactly do this.

Ive selected a small section of the bass sound i like in key ‘E’ and bounced this sample out. Now how do i change the note via midi so i can build a melody from this? Similar to this video https://youtu.be/4quRztGr_1c?t=208

I can see an option in vari audio however not sure how to connect this up

The simplest thing to do is to put your sample on a Sampler Track which you can then play directly using MIDI.
