Audio Track recording audio track??

This is a really odd error and not experienced before. I have set up one audio track that contains an imported music file. On trying to record vox on a subsequent audio track, it is somehow ‘recording’ the music from the previous audio track?!

Weird, anyone know what is causing that?

seems to have resolved itself now, I don’t know if the ‘VST connections’ options went haywire, but on restarting I found my previous ‘mic in’ options had changed, I reset them back to ‘mic in’ and the problem stopped
