If I record an analogue synth sequence track on an audio track into a song…can I adjust the bpm of that track only? can I adjust the pitch slightly using stock Cubase inserts?
Yes. There are several ways you can Time Stretch audio in Cubase.
Cubase Pro, Artist and Elements all come with the Pitch Correct plugin that allows you to make pitch corrections on monophonic material in real-time. Pro and Artist also come with VariAudio which is a more advanced tool for adjusting pitch and timing.
You can also pitch shift with with Direct Offline Processing
