Augmented rhythm values

In Finale there is a tool what changes the rhythm values to the half or double or whatever. Honestly, It doesn’t work well, so when I rarely met this challange I made the whole job myself.

Is there any smart tool in Dorico to let the program work it out without any mess as result?

I’ve been searching but haven’t found anything I could decypher:)

You can use these functions (on the write menu):

Do you see ”Double note duration” and ”Halve note duration”?
If you use them in combination with activating Insert mode, it will do what you want.

Tuplets are different, I have a feeling that it will not work perfectly for them but I am not sure.

As I thought, does not work with tuplets.

With tuplets:

  1. With insert mode engaged, remove the tuplets.
  2. Use the doubling tool as before.
  3. Add the tuplets back in
