Curious, is there a less futzy way to make these lines perfectly aligned? Similar to how you could align or group dynamics? Self-aligning isn’t as “perfect” as I’m aiming for.

I think there is not (I might be mistaken). For my usage pushing the elements with fine grained key commands while watching the grey alignment helper line is precise enough:
