Auto display controller lane when Writing parameters

Hi,

Can someone remind me where to set this up (hopefully it is still possible). IN 6.5. I used to have my set-up such that when I activated Write for a VST, then tweaked some parameters for that VST, then the relevant controller lanes would auto expand and display. Very useful for then subsequent changing of that controller data.

Now I have upgraded to 7.5, it’s reverted to the behaviour where the controller data will get written, but I have to go and hunt for the correct controller lane to display it.

Any ideas?

I think you want…
Open the Automation Panel, then the Automation Preferences (the button at its bottom-left), then checkmark the option, “Reveal Parameter on Write”.

Not sure why they have to hide those preferences in another window when everything else is under preferences.
