It seems clicking on an expression map in the “Expression Map Setup” window does not actually load it; to do that, you have to click the little checkbox on top.
Only then does it actually get assigned to that channel.
This is a bit annoying, as I often think the map is loaded when it’s not. (Esp when working with large orchestral templates with potentially hundreds of maps in use.)
Can someone confirm I’m not overlooking something? Is there a way to make a channel just load whatever expression map was last selected in the setup window?
The way I understand this:
As you have alot of expression maps in the expression map section, you have to select and assign the prefered map to the actual track to use it!
I get that, but from a usability point of view it would be a lot faster to just click on an expression map in the left to assign it to the currently selected track. The checkbox introduces an extra step that doesn’t seem to serve much purpose, other than to trick the user into thinking the map they now see on the right is active when it’s not.
