Automatic Saving During Playback

For safely, Dorico can be set to save automatically, every number of desired minutes.

The trouble is that Dorico can run that save during score playback, which can be irritating if a (Mac) rainbow wheel spins round during playback - the user become unable to stop the playback (or do anything) while the automatic save happens.

It would be great if Dorico did not automatically save while any playback is happening.

I think during playback is actually a pretty good time for Dorico to auto-save, because it’s a point at which you’re unlikely to be actively editing the music.

Good point. Dorico’s saving prevents playback from being stopped though.
