Automation of Groove Agent Snare's Attack parameter in Dorico 5?

How do you automate Groove Agent’s parameters from Dorico’s playback? Example:
Added a Drum Kit (Basic) into Dorico 5.1, mapped to Groove Agent SE5, Life is Simple, from Acoustic Agent SE.
Clicked on the Snare Drum and the parameter control knobs are shown.
I want to adjust the Attack value during playback to smear ghost notes and enhance sFz, etc.
I can’t figure out how to program the automation so that Dorico will allow me to program the desired Attack values. Any tips?

I figured it out.

  1. In Dorico add a player with a Drum Set instrument mapped to Groove Agent SE (GASE), Acoustic SE
  2. In GASE, display the image of the drum kit and click on the Snare. Snare’s parameter knobs display.
  3. Rt click Attack knob and select Learn CC.
  4. On my Korg nanoControl (or your MIDI Controller) twist the knob associated with CC of choice (in my case CC23).
  5. Twirl Snare’s Attack knob in GASE (not the MIDI Controller’s knob) to the desired minimum value, then rt click the Attack knob and select Set Minimum. Repeat steps for Set Maximum.
  6. In Dorico, enter PLAY mode, select the snare track to display the midi note editor.
  7. Lower left corner, click on “+ Add Editor”
  8. Select Add Automation -->CC23 (in my case)
  9. Add automation points, etc and whammo instant Attack automation.
