It is my understanding that automation works differently with a midi track than with an instrument track. I have had times where the automation(and changing the volume) just doesn’t work on a midi track, but that you had to do the automation on the output of the VST instruments, is that correct? I have also had times that the automation did work on a midi track. Can somebody explain?
