I am using automation for volume control. The only problem is that once I set the W (write) on, it fixes the EQ so I can’t change it. Is there a way to change that or do you just set other values such as eq before you start automation. I have not tried compressors or other effects, so I am not sure if they are also affected. I see there is separate automation for eq , I guess I could set up those also. thanks for any help.

That shouldn’t be the case. Sounds like you accidentally also wrote some automation on the EQ.
I fixed the problem, as far as I can tell the default on the automation was to have it affect a lot of parameters, unless i did it somehow. I went to automation setup and removed the other parameters except volume. thanks for the reply.
