Bar numbers showing at meter changes?

I imported an XML file from Sibelius to speed up the creating the parts of an orchestra work, which it really does. Every opened XML file is ready to go, no editing needed which is great. But there is a bar number showing at every meter change. I cannot find a way in Setup to avoid this. Any ideas how to avoid this from happening?

I see now that this bar number doesn’t add up from the previous bar number, another mystery?

Sounds like there was a bar number change at each of the meter changes in the XML. Is that possible?

Maybe, not sure what could have gone wrong, but I went another way that fixed everything. I opened the full score as XML in Dorico instead of only the parts, now the parts look great and without any problems.
