I’m working on an oboe transposition for the Bach St. Mark Passion, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make bar number take repeated sections into account in such a way I get 1 (5), 2 (6), etc. instead of the bars continuing in a cosmetic fashion past the last repeat sign.
That being said, Dorico appears tailor-made for this sort of work. The beaming in places can get quite tedious, but Dorico handles that stuff like a champ as well as makes it incredibly easy to make measure number changes for each movement. I found the abilities to natively put a repeat sign in the middle of a measure as well as natively put in a pickup bar for a new section refreshing, to say the least.
Many thanks!
