Hi - I have a bar repeat region of (for example) 20 bars. Is it possible to edit one (or two) bars in the middle of that region? That is, how can I “interrupt” the region in order to place notes in a bar?
Thanks.

If you’re going to modify a repeated bar it’s technically not a part of a bar repeat region anymore ![]()
Yes. Understood. I guess the question is, how do you split a repeat bar region?
Start note input and position the caret on the first beat of the bar where you’d like to split the region, and press Alt/Opt+U.
(In your case, since you would need two splits, you might also consider just deleting the repeat region and creating two new ones where they’re needed – might be a little simpler.)
If you put the caret at the start of that bar and press Alt/Opt+U, it should split the repeat region in two. Do the same thing at the start of the bar where you want repeats to resume, and now you have three separate repeat regions, and you can select and delete the middle one.
Success! I’m not sure what I was doing before, but it’s now behaving as expected. And—with the new region(s) selected, I’m pretty sure you can manipulate the length and placement of the new (un-repeated) bars with Shift-Opt-R&L arrows. Thank you!
Hi @newdansom, the Solution checkmark is useful for other users because it highlights and puts the solution post just below the original question, at the beginning of the thread.
Please consider checking the post by @asherber that helped you in solving your issue, as Solution, instead of your own post. Each single post has its own Solution checkmark. This helps other users to find the answers faster, and is a kind gesture towards the helper. Thank you.
