Im trying to record basic tracks
Add a track. Audio( drums)
Add a track. (Bass). But the drums is now in both tracks. Add a track. (Guit) now everything is in the 3rd track. How do I get so each instrument is in its own track.
Configure your gear (which you unfortunately are not posting here) correctly. Most of the time this is due to a „loopback“ setting in your audio interface.

If I uninstall everything and start from scratch will I be able to reload cubase elements 10.5?
Most likely your problem has nothing to do with Cubase, reinstall won’t solve a thing.
Tell us exactly how your ins and outs are set up, audio interface etc…

It’s set up properly
Why it keeps re-recording the track onto the new tracks is beyond me. It worked fine when I got the ur22 and the cubase that came with it
Then I bought elements 10.5 and it all went to hell.

Once again: you certainly have loopback enabled! And it is not set up properly.
