I regard an one-line-one-time briefing “please do that” not as a discussion. 
Unless you’re writing for players without that experience, in which case I’d argue that the modern style will cause less confusion. (They will eventually have to learn the old style, but if it might be their first encounter with bass clef I’d say that the less things to worry about the better.)
For old horn bass clef notation, select octave shift and set to +1 in the properties window at the bottom for clefs.
