How do you change handing for the guitar under writing notation in Dorico

By change handing, do you mean strumming with the left hand and fingering with the right? I’m afraid I may not exactly understand your question.

I’m guessing that means the strings are in the wrong order when one flips the instrument and that is the problem, particularly if one needs to create TAB notation.

Dorico has the ability to customize the number and order of strings, etc. under the Library menu > Instruments

Strings stay in same order on 4 string or 5 string ,

Dilas at bottom , google a left hand bass and you will see

What exactly changes about the notation when you flip the guitar then? I’m trying to understand the challenge you are facing.
