How can I use MIDI to make a bass slide? You know, the sliding bass when the bass is coming into the song.

You can’t. Use audio samples in VSTi(s) like Trilian and other bass libraries.

At best you could somewhat simulate using PitchBend…

Or use portamento in the synth you’re programming, adjusting the portamento to taste…
