I have a couple notes that are beamed together but when I’m shifting the notes over the bar line, the beam is breaking and even clicking beaming->beam together isn’t bringing them back together. Heres a pic where the later group is doing what I want, but the earlier (shifted) group is broken. Any tips? Thanks!
It’s too hard to guess from just a screenshot. Maybe paste the bars into a fresh file and if it still doesn’t go right, post that here?
One technique which often works for me when beaming misbehaves is to select all the notes involved, unbeam them and then try applying the beam together command.

Thank you. That ended up working. I had to redo the thing where you select and delete rests in order to make them explicit so they could be hidden, but then the beaming worked again.
