You could change the number of beat groups to two by entering the time signature as shift-M [2+2]/4, though you may find some collateral damage to other note groupings.
Is your meter something like 2/2? In Dorico 5.2 maybe, or 5.1, there’s an option in Notation options>note grouping that enables Dorico to treat cutc meters as 4/4, as far as beam grouping and note grouping are concerned. Use that.
I’m using common time. For some reason it’s grouping them oddly. But if I add an addtional meter mark of “C” right before the section, the grouping works as expected.
Sorry, I understood the legend of your pictures the other way round. What you want is the default for 2/2, so change it to 2/2 and hide it in the properties, without following my first advice !!!
