I’m trying to connect between an eighth-note and a grace note that comes right afterwards. I suppose you can see the method I used to connect the two – writing two grace notes, hiding the headnote of the first one, and putting it closer to the eighth-note’s X-shaped notehead. However, the stem at the base of the hidden grace notehead doesn’t align perfectly with the edge of the eighth-note notehead (see picture attached). Raising the hidden notehead up a “tone” makes a gap between the stem and the X, which looks awkward. Any idea on how to align these two? Perhaps there’s a different method for achieving this?
