Beaming rhythms within an 8/8 time signature

Hello, I have followed closely my tutorial instructions to beam my rhythms 3+2+3 within an 8/8 time signature but Dorico insists on beaming 3+3+2. I have not managed to find any help for this matter so far and expect it’s a simple issue but as a (recent) Finale convert, often writing with shifting time signatures and beat lengths I really need to get my act together on this one! Any help would be much appreciated.

Try this in the Shift-M popover. [3+2+3]/8

Yes did that of course but infuriatingly nothing happens

Maybe Reset Beaming first, in case you already experimented with manual overrides?

Thank you all for trying to help! I remain STUCK.
Dup, I can see that your example switches easily from one set of beaming to another. I have tried resetting beaming and presume that what I am getting (3+3+2) IS the default. And that the (3+2+3)/8 that I am writing in the popover just isn’t working. I am working with a (French) Azerty keyboard and wondered if maybe the brackets () are wrong? I have been figuring out other keyboard shortcuts that don’t work because of the difference in keyboards with the excellent Luke Carlson training course I am working through.
There are no overrides to answer PjotrB.
My issue is in flow 2 bar 4 in the enclosed file.
Really appreciate your help folks!

You don’t use square brackets. (3+2+3)/8 should be [3+2+3]/8
Jesper

Yes I will look for how to get them and hope that this is the problem
Thanks I’ll let you know

Or just copy paste them from here [3+2+3]/8

Hurray! Hurray ! Jesele you confirmed my deductions.
Thanks for your help and the tip of copying your square brackets.

I have discovered that this is how to make square brackets on the AZERTY MAC keyboard:
Open : shift /option + (
Close: shift /option + )

My tutorial can now progress as I continue to discover this incredible tool, Dorico.
