Beat value in Transport menu

The beat value in the transport menu normally reflects whatever Tempo mark I’ve set: e.g. crotchet, dotted crotchet, minim, etc.

However, if I set a più mosso instruction, then the beat value always shows as a crotchet.

E.g., in a 6/8 meter with a Tempo of dotted crotchet = 44, the più mosso shows 110% of q. = 44 as q = 73 !

This may be accurate but is unhelpful.

Yes, indeed. When Dorico handles a relative tempo change it always interprets it as being relative to a quarter note/crotchet.

Are there plans to change this, so that it will reflect the beat of the original tempo?

No concrete plans, no, but we never say never.
