Best method for these stem mastering requirements?

What would be the best way to handle a particular scenario with stems?

I need the stems (guitars, synths etc) to equal the final stereo mix, so I can’t put processing on the master bus (library music ).

Instead:

  1. I need to pull the stems into Wavelab and put processing on those stems, so that they match up with proper metering (LUFS, etc.) when combined.

  2. I need to be able to export each of the processed stems individually.

  3. I want to make a template having that processing on it for future projects (even though there will be tweaking).

  4. I also have alt versions (bed mix, drums only, etc) AND cut downs (10 sec, 30 seconds, etc).

  5. Would it be easier to do the cut downs in a DAW or Wavelab?

  6. Should I have each of those in a separate project or all in the same project (if so, what would be the best way?)

  7. I need to then export the final stereo mix from those stems.

  8. Plus Metadata on every file.

What would be the best way to handle all of this? Tracks, Lanes, etc.

I’ve owned Wavelab Pro for a while now but instead have been doing this in the DAW due to familiarity, but thought it may be beneficial to do in Wavelab once I get more familiar when I update to 11. Or is it just simpler in a DAW?

Thank you!
