I’ve had problems using CC ramps and curves in the past with some VSTIs. I like the clean look and workflow of curves, but have resorted to using recorded and hand-drawn stepped values. The resulting envelopes often “look” crowded, so then I run a “thin controllers” macro. Is that necessary or helpful? What is the optimal density for midi with modern systems? Is there a “best practice” these days? Are ramps still a problem? How do you do it? Thanks!
