Hi
With the new expression map set-up in Cubase 15, it’s now possible to set attack compensation pr. articulation.
Is there a way to calculate this value, which has been tested and is working?
Any one like to share experience in this matter?
Regards Stig
Check out the spreadsheet Negative Track Delay Database / Spreadsheet | VI-CONTROL
Other than that, render a few notes of an expression to audio (without any track delay), and then put the audio clip on an audio track and adjust its track delay until you feel like the note is on the click of the metronome.
It’s important to use multiple notes, if the sample library has round robin (so multiple samples for the same articulation are used), in some libraries there are differences in the attack time of different round robin samples.
Hi
Yes that was the way I tried it yesterday. But there are no way to have the audio editor show samples instead of beats/bars, are there?
You can change the setting to samples, in the upper right corner. I would still recommend doing this by ear, rather than visually.
Yes, I know it had to be there some place!
Thanks. Yes by ear is maybe better.
I worked mine out right or wrong by using the click track and increased the attack compensation until they matched
