Best Service Era II Medieval Legends

Hi! I’m Dani, a composer from Spain.

First of all, I have been using Dorico for just 3 weeks and I’m in love with it.
I write music for world music ensembles that use instruments such as bagpipes and chirimias. I would like very much to be able to use Best Service Era II Medieval Legends library alongside BBC Pro Spitfire (I already own this one). The problem is that Best Service Era II is only VST2.
I would like to know if opening Dorico 4 via Rosetta would I be able to use this plugin.
I would also like to know if Dorico 5 will be able to be opened via Rosetta.
And I would like to know if there is someone here using Best Service Era II with Dorico 4 already.

Thank you very much in advance!
Dani

I believe that VST2 plug-ins will run under Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs – but really, you need to ask the Best Service developers to provide VST3 plug-ins.

Steinberg discontinued the developer SDK for VST2 TEN years ago!

While I certainly agree with Ben, perhaps something like this would be of help:

Hello!! Thank you very much benwiggy and Romanos for your quick responses! I purchased the library and it works well under Rosetta! I already asked them for the VST3 version and the M1 native and they don’t know when is going to be ready.

Thank you again!
