Best way to get 5th and 6th monitor mixes?

Ok, my interface is 12 channel in/out.
(main outputs are routed through a smaller daisy chained unit - all monitoring during group tracking is via hardware only)

I use the first 8 with the 4 stereo monitor mixes from the Control Room in Cubase for listening to playback, overdubs, etc.

I would like to be able to use the last 4 hardware outs for 2 more discreet monitor mixes.

The only way I can figure out how to do this is add 2 more stereo outs, then add them as Sends on each individual track.

Questions:

  1. Am I missing a way to add those sends to the main output channel? That would be a lot easier than having to have them on every channel (though it’s admittedly a lot easier with the drag and drop functionality).

  2. Is there a better way to do this? It just seems like kind of a kludge this way….

Thanks

Also, I obviously haven’t tried this yet, but would those sends need to be turned off while tracking since we’ll use direct monitoring? Or will that not be necessary as long as the monitoring option is turned off on all the tracks in Cubase?

(I feel like I might’ve answered my own question.
