Hi. I am still using Sequel 3 for recording. It works for me, does what I need it to do… Anyway, recently I had to do a reinstall (new computer…). Afterwards, most everything was going fine until I realized that I did not have access to the preloaded content in the Media Bay portion of the software - the loops, beats, sound fx… I can see the names when I apply the filter but can’t hear anything. I can’t preview the sounds anymore let alone use them in my projects. Any suggestions???
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Did you install it? Did you download and install the Full Installer? Or did you download and install the content separately?
Btw, be aware, Steinberg is going to close down eLicenser server, which will affect Sequel.
Hi Martin and thank you for responding to my post. Yes, I did download the Full Installer. When I realized a little later on that the Media Bay was not fully functional, I went back to look for a separate download and found a Media Bay link at the Steinberg downloads page, but it didn’t help.

P.S. Yes, I saw that about the eLicenser. I downloaded a new one before all this began so I am good for now.
Hi,
I’m not 100% sure the Full Installer contains all the libraries, which were ever available with Sequel.
With the Soft-eLicenser, you are good only untill the time, you would need to change your computer or reinstall Windows.
The names of the library content are all present - I can read them, I can highlight them, some I can even bring into a new project but again only in name - it’s only the sounds that seem to be missing at this point. Is it possible Full Installer would only include names without sounds? Or am I just missing something? Are you aware of a way to download the required libraries only?
And once again, thank you for trying to help me, Martin. It is MUCH appreciated. As to the soft eLicenser: yes, I am aware this is my last chance with my Sequel 3. The good news is that my computer is new.
Hi,
Could you double-check the size of all the vstsound files, please?
The Steinberg Library Manager that I downloaded says there are “No Libraries Found”
That doesn’t sound good.
I think
Hi,
It’s a good hint. Can you see the path of the library in the Steinberg Library Manager? Could you check the files at the given location?
Where would I find a gubernatorial location?
Is this what you mean?

Hi Martin. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. Because of your persistence in trying to help me, I was able to perform another download that may have solved the problem. So far, the MediaBay sounds that weren’t available to me before are all present and accounted for. AND most importantly, they are usable again - the next step is an actual project which I have been commissioned to start right away. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO MY MATTER. If I encounter any new issues going forward, please know that I will be reaching out to you right away.
Cheers!
John
