Can anyone tell me how to create a preset transforming Breath(cc2), to main volume(cc7)?

Use the Logical Editor:

Filter Target
( Type is | Equal | Controller | And
value 1 (MIDI Controller No.) | Equal | 2)

Action Target
Value 1 | Set to fixed value | 7

Function: Transform

Thanks, I could get this to work only if I used this setting on “Transformer” in a midi insert . Now I can control expression on any of my VST-I’s with my EWI 5000.

Hi,

If you use it as Transformer in the MIDI Insert then you record the original MIDI Data (i.e. MIDI CC2) and Cubase transforms the data to the other one (MIDI CC7) in real time. If you would use the Input MIDI Transformer, the data would transform on the input side and you would record the transformed data already.

Both options are possible.
