BSOD upon installation of Cubase 7 Elements

I recently purchased Cubase 7 Elements and can’t get it to install. I start the ‘start center’ begin installation, the eLLC installs then begins to install Cubase in which it will go immediately to the BSOD with Kernal_Data_inpage_Error or it won’t have a description. The computer is practically brand new and I can’t find any reason why it won’t install. Any work arounds or ideas?

BSODs are almost always caused by hardware problems.

My guess would be a hard drive problem. What I would do is run a chkdsk C: /F /R on the hard drive, I also use spinrite for more intensive repairs.

Try this.

Mr. Beer - I did run a chkdsk /r the other day with no issues coming up.
Grim - I’ll try that and see if it helps. I replaced the RAM to test that and it still gives me a BSOD.

Is it possible it has to do with the Solid state drive, i could always through a regular drive in? No other programs have caused any issue except cubase.

I installed another harddrive, a regular SATA drive (not SSD) and installed cubase to that drive with no issue whatsoever. Thanks for the help!
