My setup is Razer 17 i9, Cubase 13, SSL 2, ERA 2 instruments, Arturia Keylab Essential.
I’m not sure where the issue is, but while tracking/playing but not recording sometimes the sound will go mute and I can’t hear anything. Then it’s like a buffer will catch up and all the notes I played from the keyboard will come rushing in like the input buffer is getting overloaded. Any ideas what could be going on?
This is the current settings I have for SSL 2 my Audio Interface. I was thinking this would improve things and it did, but still happens. Just not as often as it was happening.

Could you test your system by using LatencyMon utility, please?
I ran LatencyMon a few times. Finally ran it this last time with Cubase 13 running and just testing one of the loaded instruments. No recording. Below are the results. I can see that cubase13 had the most pagefaults. I’ve got 64GB of PC RAM so not sure why more of that RAM is not being utilized.
CONCLUSION
Your system seems to be having difficulty handling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicks or pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to a
driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS
updates.
