When I first open Cubase, adding a new Audio track from the menu bar: Project>Add Track>Audio, is greyed out. I have to right-click in the “Input/Output Channels” pane and add a track that way to add one. This has been happening off and on. Is this just an isolated incident?
Same here. This has been happening since the beginning. PROJECT- Add Track - all those options are greyed out, they do not engage. And same as you, I can only add tracks by right-clicking in the track area and choosing the track I want. And then at some point the menu works again.
It’s true. In Cubase 13 Pro: Project>Add Track (the entire list is greyed out), and this happens often. Cubase 13 Pro does this a lot and it is annoying. Steinberg, please fix this. I don’t like to exit Cubase 13 Pro and then keep trying until everything works normally again. This never happens to me when I’m using Cubase 11 Pro.
Also experiencing this going into a professional session. Please get this dealt with ASAP please. Impacting clients and revenue. Only works if you use the “using track preset” selector.
Still happening.
Cannot add track - Project - Add Track - nothing works.
Any project, new or old.
This has been happening for over a year. Steinberg, can you please address this?
Windows 10 pro - Cubase Version 13.0.40 - and all previous 13 versions prior.
What if you click on + top left?
Eventually you can open key commands - type “add track” on search and then you can set a key command
I also ran into this issue today. Cubase 13.0.50 pro.
Same situation as ProEng described above - everything under “Project->Add Track” would be greyed out except the "Using track preset selector.
This seemed to happen to all projects, even when creating a new (empty project).
It did not seem to be a problem with the project - I had an old Cubase 12 project, which I could open in Cubase 12 and would let me add tracks, but opening the same project in Cubase 13, the menu would be grayed out.
Eventually I got it working again after restarting Cubase 13 several times. No idea what I did to make it work, but it seems to be working again now (for now).
