I found that the Edit stop position marker is not displayed when it is coinciding with double (or triple, or dashed, or thick) barline in Galley view.
Yep. It is strange, works with some barlines but not others. I don’t know why.
I’ve recorded this: https://youtu.be/6wkSW1vLj0s
Dorico Version 6.0.22.6052 (Jul 9 2025), MacOs 15.3.2
Sorry, it always works for me. Can you upload a file (or part of) that fails?
So I discovered it is more complicated than just the barline (or maybe even not related to the barline). Attached is the file with all music removed except Snare Drum 1 in bar 66. As it is, the Edit stop line is not displayed if you put it on the triple barline at m.66 in Galley view. But if you delete the Snare Drum 1 music, it works.
I suspect the culprit is some combination of barline and a grace note

I agree is does not work in your file. But I cannot reproduce it in a clean file.
Interesting. I recorded this starting from a clean file: https://youtu.be/epnCTrBy_ZE
I wonder if you would be able to recreate this by following my steps?
Or Page view, for that matter. And if I copy the barline and the contents of bar 66 to another bar in the score, I can set the insert stop line there.
I’m afraid this is a known bug (our ref: STEAM-11918) with the way the stop line is drawn at the end of a system, if there is also a grace note at that position.
(You may be wondering why this affects Galley View… Internally, Galley View is drawn in sections that work a bit like systems in Page View, even though there are obviously no system breaks. There’s no obvious sign where the section boundaries are but it just happens that there is one here in your project.)
