Bug: Incorrect pitch in playback when tremolo follows gliss (Noteperformer 4)

Just upgraded to Dorico 5 and NotePerformer 4. I’ve found an odd little bug where if a gliss is followed by a (slash stem) tremolo, the playback pitch of the tremolo is a whole tone too high. Anyone know if this is a Dorico vs. Noteperformer issue? Uploaded an example file.

Edit: I’m learning the playback is not always a wholetone high depending on the start and end pitches, but it is always incorrect.

yes, I suspect it’s the same thing as the other thread and I’ve confirmed the bug does not occur in Sibelius – there the playback is as expected. One for Arne if he’s not already aware.

Additionally (as rather expected) it seems NP specific as test with other libraries also play back correctly.

Gotcha, thanks for checking. Is it best if I submit a support ticket directly with NotePerformer to let them know about it?

you could do – or simply @Wallander like I’ve just done which will bring it to his attention automatically. Could be he’s already aware but a quick search hasn’t brought up anything else so far for me on this one.

From what I can tell, the issue stems from Dorico adding MIDI pitch bend for the glissando (and keeping it for the duration of the destination note), and NotePerformer reacting to both the pitch bend and the glissando notation, (somewhat) doubling the transposition. Manually resetting the pitch bend in the key editor right when the destination note is reached seems to fix the playback. (The orange dot in the image is my reset of the pitch bend).

yes, entering a pitch bend manually seems the easiest way to fix this and other similar issues with gliss which have been discussed recently.
