Thanks for reporting - workaround : if that’s the Playback tool you’re looking for in particular, know that pressing the CTRL key (Windows) or CMD key (Mac) will summon it (even if not visible in tools bar) - once the key is released, you’re back to your previous tool.

It will be for any tool that has slipped out view because of size of window. typically I resize the window larger anyways so all tools are in view but was just working quick and stumbled upon that.
