hi guys!
im trying to open editors in lower zone by double-click,
and open in big editors with Command-E
but it doesnt work…both do the same on my macbook, no matter what setting i choose in prefs
can anyone else repeat this in Cubase 14 on MAC?

It works for me. You can even assign a dedicated command to open the Editor in the Lower Zone and another one to open the editor in the Window.
But my Key Command is assigned to the generic Open Key Editor. And the preferences are set like this:
yes me too, i have the same setting…
however, they BOTH open the same window
So:
double click opens Editor in Window
Open Editor Commands open Editors in Lower Zone
result: both double click and Command-E (Edit->Open in Key Commands) open editor in window.
Or:
double click opens Editor in Lower Zone
Open Editor Commands open Editors in Window
both double click and open command open in Lower Zone
its like the 2nd setting in prefs doesnt work at all

i disabled prefs in safemode
what shortcut have you set for open editor in window?
not that is matters just trying to do the same as you
