bug report

Wavelab 7.2.1 running 64-Bit on Windows 7 PC

  1. Audio Montage: Adding region markers - does not add end marker of region if region is immediately followed by another region. Region start OK, region end OFF. (just saw Hniu’s post - this is the same issue)

  2. Audio Montage: Removing region markers causes system to crash (sometimes)

  3. Audio File Editing Preferences: Does not save user preferences on restart if system experiences a shutdown without quitting Wavelab (eg. power cut) Specifically, RF64 support defaults to OFF. Not a big issue if one is aware of it but was not an issue in Wavelab 6.

  4. Importing Audio: With Wavelab not running, opening an audio file in Windows Explorer with Wavelab set as default programme to open file runs the DAW but does not import the file. Wavelab starts but does not open the file. Opening the file from Explorer with Wavelab running OK.

  5. Deleting / Modifying audio file recently opened in Wavelab: Windows reports that the file(s) is/are being used by another process even though it/they is/are no longer being used by Wavelab. Quitting Wavelab “releases” the file.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the report.

  1. how do you remove the markers?

  2. Not such a problem here.

  3. This happens when the file is in the Undo history. One solution is to clear this history.

Thank you for your reply.

  1. how do you remove the markers?

By lifting them up off of the montage into the ruler.

  1. Not such a problem here.

Yes, not such an important workflow killer but doesn’t behave as it should (Wavelab 6 is fine with this)

  1. This happens when the file is in the Undo history. One solution is to clear this history.

I see. Thank you for clearing that up.
